Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School

October	29	Career Awareness Day, 8^th graders visit AV Visiting school schedules to be announced. Smaller tours will be offered on other dates, to be arranged through Assabet Valley Admissions office.
December	1	Admission Information Night / Exhibit Night 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. Admission information sessions will be held at 6:00 and at 7:00 in the Auditorium, followed by tours of the technical programs.
February	1	Completed applications are due in the AV Admissions office for initial interviews for 2011-2012 school year. Check with your guidance office for individual school timing requirements. Late applicants may have to be interviewed at Assabet instead of home school.
February & March		Assabet Valley admissions team will travel to sending schools to interview initial round applicants
April	8 15 29	Preliminary decision letters mailed out to all students whose applications were received by February 1st. Course selection recommendations due back from sending schools. Course selection sheets mailed to parents.
May	11	Orientation Night for 8th graders planning to attend AV and their parents, AV Auditorium, 7:00-8:30 p.m. Parents are asked to bring back signed course selection sheets.
May	13 or 20	Required Academic placement testing Incoming students must attend either the May 13th or May 20th testing session. 8:30 a.m. to Noon
June		Update the status of student applications. Final grades/attendance/discipline. Summer school notices sent out if necessary

NOTE: All students who wish to enroll in the freshman class MUST be promoted to grade 9 and MUST PASS English and Math in grade 8. Any accepted student who fails either course will be REQUIRED to attend summer school prior to enrollment.
