The Music Department of Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School seeks to offer an enrichment program to all interested students:

• By providing exposure to an important element of the arts through a study of musical styles.
• By demonstrating that music can be a common bond shared by a variety of cultures and generations.
• By recognizing and encouraging the development of musical talent.
• By acquiring instrumental and vocal skills.
• By exposing students to a variety of musical styles and background.By providing student opportunities at the performance level.

 The Music Department's program is designed to instill independence, self-esteem, self discipline, initiative, perseverance, and respect for property. Independent and group study will be the learning situations.
