Electronic Technology
Technology continues to revolutionize the society in which we live. The impact of electronic technology and the necessity of people to increase their ability to accomplish life’s tasks necessitate Electronic Technicians.
Assabet Valley’s Electronic Technology program engages students in a project-based curriculum that includes electronic theory of operation, design, construction, test, and troubleshooting of electronic devices. The program emphasizes problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Students become skilled at using electronic test equipment, DC/AC circuitry, assembly techniques, semiconductor and digital logic theory. The level of training is such that students wishing to continue their education may be awarded college credits based on their success in this program.
Pre-engineering program options are available through Assabet Valley’s Tech Prep network. Graduates of the Electronic Technology program are in great demand and the opportunities in the electronics field are multiplying with the growth of the electronics industry and strong economical impact of technology on society.
