Academic Programs Overview

Assabet Valley is proud to offer a rich, varied and rigorous academic curriculum.  We recognize that each student is a unique individual with specific strengths, needs and learning styles.  We pride ourselves in providing challenging and supportive opportunities for all students to maximize their readiness for life after high school. 

All of our core courses are aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and prepare students for success on the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) as well as give them a solid platform for success in post-secondary learning. We are pro-actively working to ensure that all of our courses are also aligned with the newly adopted Massachusetts Common Core Standards.

In addition to our own selection of courses, Assabet Valley is a member of the Virtual High School consortium.  Through VHS, students can choose courses which are delivered in an online learning environment.  VHS expands our course offerings by over 200 courses.  Students may take half or full year online courses with students and teachers from around the world.
